On Friday 17th November, Mr Adams and the boys attended the East Cornwall finals in Liskeard - contested by 12 schools in a waterfall competition. Poltair were placed against Liskeard, Callington, Penrice B and Roseland in the group stages. Winning 3 and drawing 1 Poltair topped the group and went into the top group for the second half of the day. All the group winners and the highest point runner up went into the top group. This group was made up of Truro School, Bude, Brannel and Poltair. The boys went on the beat Bude and Brannel but unfortunately lost to Truro school in their final match of the day. As Truro school is in West Cornwall, but were invited to attend this tournament due to being on half term when the west tournament happened, they couldn't be crowned champions; resulting in Poltair taking the honours. The boys conducted themselves in a perfect way, they played every game with pride, passion and enthusiasm. The hard work every Tuesday night at training certainly paid off. The team was led on the day by Harry Wharmby as captain - the influence he made, alongside man of the tournament Kian Richards, was amazing.
Well done boys, you deserve it and should be very proud of yourselves!
