The Big Draw, the campaign for drawing was started in 2000, it was headed by the illustrator Quentin Blake who is well known for his illustrations for the Roald Dahl books. In the art department at Poltair this year we celebrated the ability for everyone to draw no matter what their age, ability or background by looking at the work of Quentin Blake and creating our own Blake like life size drawings of students at Poltair. The students had one lesson only to achieve this and the final piece had to be a collaborative piece of work. Year 7 and 8 students took part and thoroughly enjoyed creating their works of art. All of the pieces of work are now on display in the canteen and many students and staff have commented on how fantastic they look... Well done guys!!
