Mrs Carlin - Teacher of Science

Mrs Carlin - Teacher of ScienceMrs Carlin joins Poltair School as a teacher of Science after working for the past seven years at Liverpool Life Sciences University Technical College (UTC) as a biology specialist. Mrs Carlin undertook a BSc Degree in Forensic Science and Biological Anthropology at Liverpool John Moores University before completing her PGCE in Secondary Science at Liverpool Hope University. In her spare time Mrs Carlin enjoys reading, painting and playing the piano.

Mr Turpin - Teacher of Design TechnologyMr Turpin has taught all aspects of Design and Technology since 1996 including Catering, Product Design, Textiles and Engineering. He has led departments in both London and Looe and he has a keen interest in giving students an opportunity to develop their practical skills and experience in preparation for the world of work. He is really looking forward to getting to know the students of Poltair and is excited by the potential he has seen.

He has three small children who love the outdoor life that Cornwall offers and he is looking forward to moving from Liskeard into the St Austell area.
