On Tuesday 17 June teams of Year 5 mathematicians from Bishop Bronescombe, Carclaze, Mount Charles, Pondhu and Sandy Hill Primary Schools visited the Maths Department to take part in an experimental functional numeracy lesson. The tasks the pupils had to complete involved teamwork and puzzle-solving with some physical aspects to the challenges (such as relay style races or throwing accuracy). The pupils showed great enthusiasm for the collaborative learning activities and had lots of fun practising Maths.
