On Friday 15 November, Pudsey came to Poltair as we took part in the BBC Children in Need campaign. This year, students were encouraged to donate one pound in order to wear a 'onesie' or pyjamas to school for the day. This was the latest event in Poltair's quest to raise £10,000 for charity and, although staff and students had a lot of fun (and created quite a spectacle as a sea of farm animals and superheroes entered the school gate!) it is important that we recognise the real meaning behind the event. Contributing to Children in Need is particularly significant to us because the aim of the charity is to ensure that 'every child has a childhood which is safe, happy and secure and allows them the chance to reach their potential' which is a vision that we share here at Poltair. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the students, parents and staff for working together to raise over £500!
