Talented musician Daniel Hall in Year 11 has beaten 200 other young composers to become just one of 10 national winners for the annual Young Composer Fanfare competition sponsored by the Royal Opera House.
Dan travelled to London last week with his parents to visit the Royal Opera House where his composition will be orchestrated and recorded by the Opera's own orchestra and then played to opera audiences as the signal to take their seats before a performance.
Daniel explained : 'The challenge was to compose a short and attention-grabbing piece of music. The judges came from both opera and ballet backgrounds and chose their ten favourite fanfares from the 200 entries.' You can listen to Daniel's successful composition by Here
Daniel's national success has already attracted local media attention with an interview from Radio Cornwall and as an accomplished musician Poltair is very proud of his achievements.
