20 female pupils from Years 9 & 10 were able to participate in a three day project at Cornwall College St Austell run by an organisation called Leading Women. The project looked at many of the challenges young women face today in making choices for their future. Peer pressure, society expectations, media stereotypes and celebrity culture can mean young women are challenged in the choices they make.

Young Women Inspiration Days

The Leading Women project works with young women aged 14 to 18 to help them with these choices, through discussion groups and fun workshops, and opportunities to meet and speak to inspirational speakers. The pupils enjoyed taking part and reported feeling more confident about making decisions which could affect their future.
